About the artwork:
The central figure of this painting is the legendary “Zhar-ptytsia” (Firebird), a mythical creature of Ukrainian folklore. With its magnificent, lace-like tail, it symbolizes the radiant energy of the sun and the fulfillment of one’s deepest desires. The intricate brushwork of the feathers represents the delicate weaving of fate and joy. In the Petrykivka tradition, such a bird is a powerful talisman, believed to bring light, inspiration, and good fortune to every home.
This artwork was created as part of the Petrykivka painting course by Olena Grishina.

Центральною фігурою цієї картини є легендарна Жар-птиця — міфічна істота українського фольклору. Зі своїм розкішним мереживним хвостом вона символізує сяючу енергію сонця та здійснення найзаповітніших мрій. Філігранна промальовка пір’я уособлює тонке плетиво долі та радості. У традиції Петриківки такий птах є потужним оберегом, який, як вірять, приносить у дім світло, натхнення та добру вдачу.
Робота виконана у межах курсу з петриківського розпису від Олени Грішиної.
